Abstract
Paraquat is a highly toxic herbicide causing intense local irritation and multi-organ failure on exposure resulting in high mortality. We report a fatal case of paraquat poisoning resulting in multi-organ failure ultimately causing death in spite of aggressive intensive care and hemodialysis from a tertiary care hospital in Vidharbha Region of Maharashtra, India. Paraquat is easily available in India, hence the incidence of paraquat poisoning is on rise.
