Abstract

A case of a 25-year old pregnant female having fever and breathlessness presented with features of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). She had progressive pancytopenia. She was diagnosed to be having tuberculosis following bone marrow biopsy and AFB liquid culture. Incidentally a mysterious left atrial appendage mass was detected, which embolised leading to splenic infarcts. It was finally diagnosed on biopsy as a left atrial myxoma. Patient is currently on anti-tuberculosis drugs and doing well.
