Abstract

Antenatal detection of multiple cardiac rhabdomyomas is an important clue to the diagnosis of tuberous sclerosis in the foetus. These antenatally detected cardiac rhabdomyomas undergo spontaneous resolution in majority of the case, but our case lead to severe left ventricular outflow flow tract obstruction and consequent cardiac failure and death. Examination of first degree relatives for features of tuberous sclerosis (TSC) is mandatory for diagnosis of TSC.
