Abstract
Spontaneous rupture of incisional hernia is a rare complication and a surgical emergency. Here is a report of a 45-year old female who presented with spontaneous rupture of large lower abdominal incisional hernia with small bowel outside. An emergency operation was done with reduction of hernia followed by repair with prolene mesh. Patient had a smooth recovery
