Abstract

Natriuretic peptides, which are endogenous substances, play a key role in the renal and cardiovascular homeostasis and are also involved in various pathophysiological processes. Recombinant natriuretic peptides as well as inhibitors of enzymes modulating the effects of natriuretic peptides have potential diagnostic and therapeutic applications in many clinical conditions
