Abstract

Objective: Role of laparoscopy with C-arm in localization and extraction of intra abdominal Sewing needles.

Method: We are reporting 3 cases of intra abdominal Sewing needles. First case had three sewing needles in the bowel. Second case had one sewing needle in intra peritoneal cavity embedded in Omentum. Third case had one sewing needle penetrated into the liver. All were diagnosed with X-ray and their location was confirmed with CT scan. They were localized intra-operatively with C-arm and extracted with Laparoscopy.

Conclusion: Novel approach helps in accurate localization and Laparoscopy helps in getting magnified effect and enables early post operative recovery.
