Abstract
Leprosy has found prominence in description in most of the religious books like Hindu mythology books called Puranas, Christian’s Bible and Islamic Books on Medicine. Though we are in modern era with lot of research evidence and scientific explanations about each and every aspect of leprosy, it’s quite interesting task to uncover the ancient understanding of this dreaded disease like leprosy as understood and quoted through the religious books of almost all major religions. This is an attempt to discover leprosy through these religious books.
