Abstract

Strabismus fixus is a rare form of congenital strabismus, exhibiting the characteristics of an anomalous retraction syndrome due to the presence of a rigid, fibrous, short internal rectus that is intimately attached by a broad fibrous area to the sclera near the equator. We report a case of a 60-year old female who presented with an inward deviation and loss of vision in the left eye since childhood. She had convergent strabismus fixus due to fibrous, rigid and short medial rectus muscle. The case Is reported due to its rarit
