Institutions provide an environment for learning, innovation, and generation of knowledge. The academic culture of publishing scientiÿc work both original research andclinical work has to be ingrained in everyone including faculty and students to be in line with 'publish or perish' policy of every institution. Dissemination of such scientiÿc work is not only a means for scientiÿc progress but also provides a foundation for the evaluation and assessment of their scientiÿc achievements.

It is our endeavourto provide a sound platform for the fraternity to publish scientiÿcally sound articles and disseminate,distribution the same for the beneÿt of all. We look forward to receiving your original evidence-based clinical /in vitro research andcase reports related to all specialities in Dentistry.

It is indeed a matter of great pleasure andprivilege to become the new Editor- in - chief of the RGUHS Journal of Dentistry, rekindle the same and present this issue. While transition is seen as an opportunity to rethink and usher in changes for better, the new editorial team has genuine intensions and plans to enhance the quality and regularity of the journal. I and my editorial team will strive to remain devoted, committed and work in unison with you all towards achievingthis objective.
