Dear colleagues of AYUSH,

I am extremely happy and privileged to be the Editor- in-chief of AYUSH journal of RGUHS. I, with great pleasure and humbleness, look forward to serving to the best of my abilities. Moreover, I am also aware of the great task ahead of me: Upholding and adhering to the standards of a professional journal.

I shall endeavour my best, with the co-operation of my fellow members of the editorial board who have been very active and supportive, to achieve above mentioned aim.

AYUSH journal of RGUHS has a history of nearly a decade. Though, many valuable issues have been published by the untiring efforts of previous editors and the editorial board, due to the circumstances beyond control, the publishing of volumes periodically, within the stipulated time has not been possible. The present editorial board, blessed with a healthy mix of experience, talent and motivation, has strongly resolved to address this issue. It seeks not only to make sure that the future volumes are published regularly and periodically, but also update it by bringing out the four issues together which were due. I am grateful to all the authors and reviewers who have responded and contributed to these issues.

I am also aware of challenges ahead. The biggest challenge is to get required number of quality articles. Even though there are many talented writers amongst the faculty of AYUSH, they need to be motivated and their skills need to be refined, to make them acceptable writers among the scientific community. In order to fulfil this mission, RGUHS has organised five multicentred workshops in February 2020, on “Skills of Scientific Writing” exclusively for the AYUSH faculty members. I hope these workshops will refine and reorient the skills of the existing writers ; also create a team of new writers equipped with required skills of scientific writing who are motivated to contribute not only to AYUSH-RGUHS journal but also to many of the other standard publications.

This, I believe, can bring transformation in the area of AYUSH- publications.I must remember and acknowledge the help rendered by the officials of Prasaranga, RGUHS and the other officials of RGUHS; I am glad for their continued support.

My team members and I look forward for your continued support and positive feedback.
