Abstract
Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics is known as Bhaishajya kalpna. It has a wide range of medical preparations. Avartana is one among them. It is a process employed for preparing fortified medicated oils or ghee. An effort should be made to analyze the physical and chemical properties of Avartita tails at different stages, which would ultimately alter the theraputic efficacy of the taila.
